Our June circle fell right on Father's Day, and a father's day we had. We were graced by a father to be, and a father that is. We welcomed these two father's into the circle, thereby re-establishing our connections with our own fathers. A healing ritual was led by myself around the participants relationships with their fathers, and we did various ritual to acknowledge our ancestors who pioneered the path for our current lives. This coming circle falls directly in the middle of summer, and you can be sure that Summer will be present. Come join us on the 15th to see what this month might hold. Bring blankets, backjacks, and anything else that you might need to make sitting in circle a little more comfortable. Please arrive at 5:45, as the ceremony will start at 6. Holistic Sexuality (HS) is for individuals who wish to access the full potential of their vital primary energy, and explore how this energy can be creatively expressed and integrated at somatic, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. It is designed to teach you how to connect with this energy not only as a creative force for everyday life, but also as a bridge to the deepest dimension of your reality and as a catalyst for grounded spiritual growth. This series is open to individuals, couples, people new to the work, and those wishing to deepen and continue their familiarity with the work. Holistic Sexuality: Intro Weekend facilitated by Elizabeth Husserl Rubiano and Zayin Neumann, November 15-16, Heartwalker Studio, Berkeley, CA.
This weekend workshop will be the same structure as the one above, but will dive a little deeper. This group process will introduce the participants the potential for healing and transformation possible within the structure of HS. The weekend introductory course is necessary for those wanting to participate in the longer four month Spring Series in 2009 facilitated by Marina Romero and Ramon Albareda. Events in the Greater Bay Area
Five Day Training in Soul Retrieval, facilitated by Sandra Ingerman. August 10 - 15th, Portland, Oregon. Sandra is world renowned as a teacher, and it is a great opportunity to work with her. Participants will be trained in working with the issue of soul loss from a shamanic perspective. In this residential course, they will explore the experience of partial soul loss resulting from personal trauma and illness and how to track a soul to bring it back to a person. We will also focus on "life after soul retrieval" - how we create healthier lives after the healing has taken place. This will be accomplished through shamanic journeying and ritual. The 25th Conference on Shamanism and Alternative Modes of Healing, August 30th - September 1st. Santa Sabina Retreat Center, on Dominican College Campus, San Rafael, CA. This years conference will include a Ruth-Inge Heinze Memorial Lecture by Dr. Stanley Krippner. He is an elder in the field of scholars working within this area. Shamanic Extraction Healing, facilitated by Beth Beurkens. September 13th & 14th. Mt. Shasta, CA.
Participants are initiated into the extraction method of healing, including how to see, sense, and remove localized illness and pain connected to spiritual factors. This is an important part of shamanic healing training. They will also learn how shamanic practitioners can work in partnership to increase the effectiveness of this work. The Twelve Mysteries of Spirit: A Two-year Training facilitated by Bradford Keeney. Beginning January 2009. Portland, Oregon. Keeney has worked for many years with Kalahari Bushmen in Africa.
